September

I was looking back and every month I say I am behind on my blog because life is so crazy busy.  Well, I guess that's my new normal.  Crazy busy.  We just like having fun.  I am really sick and stuck in bed for awhile so I am finally forced to slow down and now I can catch up on my blog yay!

Here is our September...

The biggest event we have every September is Kayzee's birthday!  This year she turned 8.  I just love my sweet Kayzee Lynn.  Some days she acts like a teenager and drives me crazy, teases her brother a little too much, but we love her.  Right now she loves to play with her friends, little pet shop, American Girl Dolls, unicorns, cats, and dried fruit.  She is a beautiful little girl with the sweetest smile.  Happy 8th birthday Kayzee!

 This year Kayzee wanted a cat-themed party at our house with her friends and tons of presents.  She is one spoiled little girl but we had so much fun!

 We invited all her school friends she has known since preschool/kindergarten.  They are the cutest bunch of little girls.  Two of them couldn't make it.  We also invited her two boyfriends...we made them all wear cat ears!

 Kayzee loves Just Dance so we did some dancing...

 Piñata time...I forgot to think about how I was going to hang it so the kids could hit at it.  I made Memphis hold one end of a broom with the piñata tied to the other end.  It ended up not working so we just left it on the ground and the kids had fun hitting it and stomping on it on the ground.  As long as they got candy they were happy!

 In September we also went swimming over the labor day weekend.

 My kids love being silly when we go grocery shopping...

 Memphis made a lot of forts and I let him sleep in them on the weekends as long as he read at least 30 minutes a day during the week.  He loves comic book style books like Dogman so he will actually read for an hour a day.

 Kayzee went to a birthday party and she got to ride on a horse!  My kids are growing up way too fast.  Enjoying every moment I have with these two kiddos of mine...

August

When August 1st comes around I get sad because it means the end of summer is fast approaching and school will be starting soon.  I had the BEST summer just being with my kids and making memories. The beginning of August was trying to finish our summer bucket list and go to all the places we hadn't been to yet.

 On my first days back to school for teacher meetings one of the employees from the photography company that came to take faculty pictures was in a company truck and backed into my car in the parking lot.  Luckily she stayed and the company had really good insurance.  It doesn't look like much but there was a lot of damage under the hood and behind the door and front fender.  Also whoever owned this car before me did a lot of after market details like pin striping, logos, and even that color red.  The auto body shop had a hard time matching everything.  It took over 4 weeks but I finally have my car back and it looks great and didn't cost me anything. And I am so glad I have 2 vehicles so I could still get around.

 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!  August 20, 2018  My kids have the best teachers yet again...love my Freedom Elementary.  And my kids are growing up so fast!  Memphis is now in the upper grade hallway.  Kayzee is such a great friend, and I can't believe this is my 14th year of teaching.  Where does the time go...
