Life these days!

So just a little update on what we have been up to lately.  We got our first-time home buyers tax refund finally so we went shopping to furnish our house.  We bought a really nice table and chairs and a new dresser for our bedroom.  We are excited!  Will post pictures of the house once those arrive on Saturday.

Danny had his first baseball games on Tuesday.  He plays for a city league.  And his team is glad to have him!  He made a lot of points and even hit a home run!!!  It just sailed over the back fence.  It was beautiful.  He also got most of the other team's players out:)  Great job Danny!

I am just getting more and more pregnant.  I am half way!!!  Can't believe it.  I find out what we are having on May 3rd so I will be sure to post it!!!  It is getting more and more uncomfortable to sleep and I am wondering why I wanted to get pregnant again so fast.  Oh well.  I am almost done with teaching and glad that the weather will be warming up so I can play outside.  Can't wait till school is out so I can be home with my son all summer so I can have fun with him before school starts again and baby #2 arrives.

Memphis has had croup for the past three days.  Luckily we got him into the doctor quickly and they gave him a shot so he is recovering fast!  I felt so bad for him cause he was just wheezing and coughing so painfully.   Memphis also loves slides!!!  And not the little baby slides.  He has to go down the big kid slides and he has to do it by himself.  He also desperately needs a haircut but I am too scared to cut it myself or pay someone else cause it is just too beautiful with those little curls in back but it needs to be done!!!  Here are some pictures of Memphis in the bath and at Cabela's.  Have a great day!!!

Danny vs. Nail!!!

So yesterday my son had a fork go through the tip of his tongue. Today it was Danny's turn. He was helping his friend build a railing and was hammering in a nail and it slipped and went right through his finger. Basically his hand was nailed to the board. Luckily he missed the bone and tendon. Now he is all drugged up. Ahhh BOYS!!!

Memphis vs. Fork!!!

Just a new adventure for me today. I heard Memphis climb up on a kitchen chair (he will climb on everything now!) and I knew there was stuff all over the table so I ran into the kitchen to stop him. He was just too fast for me. I saw he had a fork in his hand so I went over to get it and he fell off the chair with the fork in his mouth. Memphis vs. Fork= Fork through the tip of his tongue. Result=lots of blood and crying. I called the pediatrician and he just said to give him tylenol and let him suck on ice (Memphis loved the ice part). Memphis is ok (off and running around again). Mommy on the other hand is still in shock. More adventures to come I am sure. Especially when the second one comes:)
So I posted the video of Memphis screaming in my last post and I forgot to post the picture I got of him screaming too. So funny!!!

AWESOME WEEKEND and SCREAMING!

I (totally unintentionally) taught my son to scream. Danny says I scream too much so Memphis is just copying me. But, we had fun in this video and it makes me laugh everytime I watch it. Enjoy!
We had a great Easter weekend. My parents and brother came from Washington and my twin sisters came from California to visit. It was fun trying to get my family here with all the snow storms. Danny's parents came to visit too up from Blanding. On Friday, April 2 Danny, me, and Memphis were sealed in the Mt. Timp temple. It was also my birthday so what an awesome birthday present! My mom had gotten sick but luckily she made it to the sealing. Thanks to my mother-in-law for being there to be my escort:) I was sick too but I made it through everything. It was such a great experience and I loved it when they brought Memphis in all dressed up in a white suit. Too cute! He had a hard time with everything and cried but it was so wonderful being sealed as a family and thinking about the baby we have coming in Sept. It was also great walking into the sealing room and seeing all of our family and friends. Here is a picture of our little family in front of the temple.
After we had a party at our new house with our grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. It was fun to see everyone and show off our new house. For Easter we went up to Logan for my Grandpa's 80th birthday and some Easter fun. It was great to see everyone and to celebrate my Grandpa! It was a fun weekend and then our families had to leave:( My sisters are staying the rest of the week while I have spring break so we are going to have fun and I am sure spend too much time spoiling Memphis.
I had my doctor's appointment for my 17th week check-up. It was hard hearing the heart beat cause the baby kept kicking and punching so much so the doctor just laughed and said, "Well be prepared for a active baby!" I just thought, "Oh great I am going to have two little handfuls!!!"
I still need to get pictures posted of our new house it has just been crazy busy so soon!
