The rest of June was HOT and BUSY but FUN!
Danny and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary! It fell on Father's day this year so we decided to celebrate early. We got a babysitter for the Friday before and we went to Red Lobster (gift cards are the best!) Then we walked around the mall and tried on wedding bands for me because I never had one and my wedding ring is 4 sizes too big! It was a great date night and we still love each other;)
Father's Day was celebrated with presents, french toast, and a song at church by the primary kids. Memphis sang the loudest, he knew all the words, and everyone came up to us and complimented on his loud singing! Kayzee just stood next to him looking pretty of course;) We also went to Chili's one night because that is Danny's favorite place to eat.
A couple days later it was Danny's birthday! We celebrate Danny for a week every June. He got new golf clubs and some money and gift cards. Two of Danny's sisters came to stay a few days with us. We had fun shopping, and they offered to watch the kids so Danny and I could go out on a date again! We had a gift card to Chili's so we went there again and we also had free movie tickets. Free dates are the best!
Happy Anniversary, Happy Father's Day, and Happy Birthday Danny. WE LOVE YOU!
Update on my hips: I went to my 4 week hip evaluation and I am cleared to resume all activity (starting out slow of course) so I started another round of 21 day fix. I AM SORE! But it feels good to work out again.
We spent June trying to beat the crazy June heat (100 degrees everyday!)...
Splash pads are the best! Free and my kids are still young enough they love them.
Alpine splash pad with our friends who just moved back to Utah from Washington!
Highland splash pad with friends again.
Parkgroup...we go to the park once a week with our ward friends and one park had a free petting farm. The kids loved it.
BYU museum...free and we went with our friends who have never been so it was fun to show them around.
Trip to the mall to ride the big stuffed animals that you can ride all over the mall
Movie date with the whole family to see Inside Out
Being silly at home
Building forts and reading books in them
And June was also filled with the Memphis adventure! He started piano lessons with me. He is so smart and caught on so quick he is teaching himself and moving quickly through the first book. He can already play cords and both hands together at the same time!
He lost his first tooth! On Daddy's birthday we took him lunch and Danny got Memphis to twist his loose tooth out!
Memphis also got stitches for the first time! We were leaving a splash pad and when he was running over to me his pinkie toe caught the edge of one of the fountain heads and it sliced open his toe. It took over an hour to stop bleeding and it was so jagged right next to his toenail so I took him to the instacare and they gave him stitches. Such a painful experience Memphis cried a lot but he was such a trooper and now the stitches are out!
We also have a Kayzee adventure to deal with in August. We went to the dentist and Memphis had no cavities. Kayzee on the other hand has already had 4 cavities filled and then we found out she has five more! Dentist said we have two options since they are baby molars...white fillings that may not last very long or silver crowns that will last till they fall out. I feel so bad but we do floss and brush their teeth every night but Kayzee just got our bad teeth genes...poor girl. What a fun adventure.
Hope everyone is escaping the heat and having a great summer!
