October

Our October was eventful!  The beginning of October was General Conference.  We had Danny's family over and here is how they watched it...

My Nephew Max turned 2 and we were invited to his birthday party!  He is so cute!!!
Our washer decided to not work anymore and the alert on my dryer stopped working so Danny let me get a new matching set of a washer and dryer.  I love them!  It's so nice when things actually work like they are supposed to.  Merry Christmas to me!
I told the kids we would go to Cornbellys (corn maze fun fall activity place) but when we got there they were so busy they had no more parking so we decided to go to Classic Fun Center which was a great idea because we were the only ones there!  The kids had fun except that Memphis almost suffocated to death.  He got his head sucked into part of this blow up obstacle course (stuck his head where he wasn't supposed to) and he couldn't get it out.  He couldn't breathe and he said he felt like he was going to pass out but I was far away checking on Kayzee and had this feeling I needed to go check on Memphis and ran over and found him.  So grateful he was ok.
 Dance party!
Kayzee is still our artist and she loves to paint and color and draw all the time.  She decided to try water colors.  Water colors are hard if you don't know how they work.  But wow Kayzee is good!
 Kayzee's leaf art!
Every year I go to Witch's Night Out at Gardner Village.  Just a bunch of women dressed up like witch's and shopping at all the stores.  I usually go with my best friend Amy but she just had a baby and it would have been too hard on them so I went with family and this year I let Kayzee go.  It was a late night for her but she had fun.  She loved having her Auntie Nita with her too:)  Dancing to the music...

Fall break is every October.  We got Thursday and Friday off from school.  Danny took those days off from work so we could go on a vacation.  We went down to Blanding to spend time with his family.  On the way we decided to stop in Moab and try the new Moab Giants Exhibit.  It has an aquarium, museum, 3D show, playground, and a fun walking trail.

When we finally got to Danny's parent's house we went for a hike up past their house.  I love that you can go hiking anywhere right outside their house.

We went out to lunch at the famous Patio drive in and this time they let Memphis and Kayzee go in the back and make their own ice cream!
Memphis thought it was the coolest thing ever!
Danny and I got to sneak away and go on a date.  We drove down to Bluff.  Beautiful drive.
This picture doesn't show you much but the restaurant we went to dinner was all windows.  It was pretty.
Memphis and Kayzee spent Saturday in town helping their aunties sell Grandpa's pumpkins.  They got to keep some of the money and they found lots of silly ways to entertain themselves.

Our ward had a Halloween party.  Here are the kids in their costumes!  Kayzee really wanted to be a genie from a cartoon show she loves but the only sizes they had were toddler sizes so she decided to be a rainbow unicorn...

Memphis is obsessed with the youtuber Dan TDM and this is his Minecraft character costume.  When we bought it at the beginning of October it was the perfect size but then by the time Halloween came around at the end of the month Memphis had grown 3 inches so it was a little snug and short.
 Carving pumpkins with Daddy!

Kayzee got 3 cavities filled at the dentist.  In the past they knocked her out completely because she was so young.  This time they decided to try just laughing gas.  She started screaming and crying as soon as they put the gas over her nose and the numbing gel in her mouth.  We had to hold her down and finally I told her she could get a new toy if she stopped and it was like instant calmness of course and she was totally fine the rest of the appointment.  Argh!  Luckily her teeth are so tiny it didn't take very long.
Halloween at school.  Here is my specialty team...Computers (a gambling baseball fan), Music, Art, and PE.  I love my team!
 Halloween Parade!

Halloween Night Pumpkin Pizza tradition.  Usually we make mini pizzas ourselves but last year it took us an hour and we got out late trick or treating so this year I got a premade pumpkin pizza from Papa Murphy's and just heated it up.  Best idea ever!  We got out trick or treating sooner.  yay more candy!
Danny was so tired from working his 11 hour shift at work so he stayed home and passed out candy.  I took the kids around our neighborhood.  We tried a new street this year because we got out sooner and now we know to hit this street every year.  They were passing out whole candy bars!!!
And finally just a cute way to end this post...I found these pics from Halloween 2011.  Miss my babies but Halloween is a lot more fun now that my kids are more grown up!
