The last weekend in April we had our girl's weekend at Bear Lake and my Grandma, my aunt, my mom, and some of my cousins showed up. It was a cold but great relaxing weekend! I love family!
The ball fields also have a playground for the kids to play on
My kids spoiled me this year for Mother's Day. I LOVE BEING A MOM! Especially to the two kiddos I have been blessed with. I know they love me and I love them.
The best present I got was my moms. BOTH of my moms were at my house at the same time on Mother's day. This rarely happens because we all live so far away from each other so I felt extra special. I love my moms and all they do for me. They are amazing examples to me and I LOVE THEM!
I got to have a girl's night with my bestest friend Amy! We got pedicures and dinner.
My school (Freedom Elementary) did a drone flyover and everyone in my entire school went out on the field and spelled Freedom. They made a video of the students walking on spelling Freedom. So cool!
We had a bunch of Royer family come crash at our house one weekend. On Saturday we went out to breakfast and shopping. I caught Memphis and Kayzee playing on the escalator. I was going to be mad they ran away but then I saw they were holding hands. Memphis said it was because Kayzee was scared to go down and he wanted to help her not be afraid. I love that they watch out for each other.
Kayzee holding her cousin Max. Kayzee loves babies and I love this pic of them looking at each other!
On Sunday we attended the blessing of Finn Royer. Danny's brother that lives in Logan and his wife just welcomed their 2nd boy into the world. We are so excited for them. This is almost all of the Royer family. We were just missing one of Danny's brothers who lives in Tennessee with his wife and little girl.
I just love my sweet tender hearted Memphis. One night we were outside playing and he looked up at me and said, "Mom, you are the love of my life". Well, he is the love of my life too. He has had the best school year. This year he actually loved going to school he just didn't love writing ha ha. He also loved his teacher. He excelled at reading and math and loves science and non-fiction books. Love my Memphis.
I love that I work at the same school as Memphis. It was fun having him in PE and I also got to see him at recess when I had to be outside.
His class put on a reader's theater. Memphis was the mongoose in "How the rhinoceros got his wrinkles"
I don't know why but Memphis just doesn't sleep at night. He stays up late playing quietly in his room and wakes up way too early but he still just plays quietly. He knows not to come out of his room till 7am so it doesn't bother me but I just think a kid his age should sleep more. It usually doesn't affect his behavior so that is good. This is a funny pic I caught of him one morning!
This is Memphis on the first day of 1st grade and the last day of 1st grade. He definitely grew taller. He is now 72 lbs!!!! and 4 foot 3 inches tall. It was so cool when I realized that he wore the same exact outfit.
This is Memphis' 1st grade teacher. She is AMAZING! She has been the best teacher for him and she helped him enjoy school and learning. I have worked at the same school with her for the past 10 years and she also became my beachbody coach. She has inspired many and I was hoping Kayzee would be able to have her but she is moving to a new school. She will be missed but we have loved having her in our lives! Thanks Mrs. Downs!
But guess what! We are so lucky because her son is on Memphis' baseball team this summer so we still get to see her 3 times a week! Memphis loves running up to her and giving her hugs every time he sees her.
Yes, Memphis has started baseball!!! This has been the sport he has been wanting to play and he is loving it. He is getting better and he hits the ball consistently and has even caught a few to get players out. Go Memphis! His team didn't have a coach and we kept getting an email about it so Danny finally agreed to be the coach. I decided I would be the assistant coach and then we found out that they make the teams by schools so all the boys on Memphis' team all go to Freedom which is the school I teach PE at so I know them all! It has been so fun to coach them and see them again. I don't do baseball in the lower grades so it's fun to do something different with them.
Kayzee is our drama queen. She can be a handful at home but her teachers tell me that she is the sweetest kindest girl at school. I am glad and I know she loves school. On her last day of preschool she was crying and I asked her why and she said she just loves school and all her friends and she will miss them too much. Love this girl of mine! Here she is wearing her auntie's glasses...so grown up!
On a field trip with one of her bestest friends...Mommy and daughter...
PRESCHOOL GRADUATION!!!
Kayzee has finally graduated from Preschool! She was so lucky and got to attend preschool for 3 years. I am so grateful for the Alpine School District Preschool Daycare program. It has been so wonderful being a working mom knowing my kids are watched over and learning and making friends. Go Kayzee!
One of the friends she made. His mom works at my school so they are excited to go to KINDERGARTEN together!
The best teachers ever! Miss Andrea and Miss Gail! Love these ladies and I know they loved my Kayzee.
I took this day off of work and after her graduation we had a girl's day. Lunch at Texas Roadhouse.
And of course ice cream!
Kayzee wasn't wearing the same outfit like Memphis was but here is her first day and last day pics. She has grown up a lot too.
Last day of school pic for me with my wonderful teammate and friend Allison. Yay for no more school!
Right after us teachers had our goodbye lunch Danny and the kids picked me up and we drove off to spend Memorial day weekend in Blanding with his family. Yay for summer vacation! I will post about that trip later. My cute little Nephew Max is now 9 months old. Can't believe how fast he is growing. Such a cutie!
