Happy April!

Can't believe it's already a week into May.  Yay it's almost summer!  April was so much fun.  I finally felt 100% better from my pneumonia on April 7th.  I was only sick for 28 days!!!!!!  Only.  It was awful and it made my spring break miserable but baby Max and the ocean cheered me up:)

We all had a very Happy April...

On March 29 Max turned 7 months old.  Such a cute smile!

On April 2 I turned 33!  I got to celebrate at my favorite restaurant Brick Oven Pizza.  My brother flew to Utah so he came with us and so did my sis-in-law Nita and my best friend Amy and her son Landon who is Kayzee's friend.  It was fun and yummy!
For my birthday I got a new scale that connects to my fitbit.  LOVE IT!
Waiting for a table at Brick Oven...

My huge baby brother!  So fun to have him visit...
For my spring break I got to go back to where I grew up...CALIFORNIA!  Danny couldn't take a whole week off so that is why my brother flew to Utah.  He went with me and my kids on the long drive to california.  It was so much fun but we did miss daddy.

Driving past the salt flats...
 The tree of life...

We drove all day April 3rd and finally arrived at my sister's house in Martinez, CA and I finally got to meet my nephew MAX!  I prayed a lot this week that I wouldn't get him sick cause I still wasn't feeling good but my dr said it was ok cause I was on antibiotics.  I washed my hands a lot but it was the best holding him all week.  He is so cute even if he looks just like his daddy;).  What a miracle baby and I am so glad I finally got to love him in person...
 Kayzee loved holding her cousin...
One night I heard a lot of laughing and I went into the living room to see Kayzee riding on Memphis' shoulders!!!  Couldn't believe that they could do that....go Memphis!
Max was all smiles all week.  The dimples are the best!
Watch out for the Martinez turkey's.   They are huge and they WILL attack your car!
Seriously such a cute little boy!
I told my sister that while we visited I HAD to go to the beach.  So one day we went to Muir beach...
Memphis and Kayzee running for the waves...
My kids LOVE the ocean too!  They played for hours.  So worth the trip.  The one thing I miss the most from growing up in California.
Max just chillin' enjoying the relaxing beach...

 Uncle Chris burying Memphis...
Doing my favorite thing at my favorite place...seriously made me so happy and helped me feel better!  Yay for spring break.

Max did not like the water.  It was so cold!

Memphis would have gone out farther if I had let him...

I Love that I can do fun things with my kids...best vacation ever!

 Max is so precious...
While we were visiting the bay area I had to go back to Antioch where I grew up.  It has changed a lot of course.  We went to our old house.  The palm trees are new and the new owners totally ruined our amazing swimming pool and back yard which was so sad to see.  But we had so much fun visiting our next door neighbors and we had a luncheon with a bunch of ladies that I grew up with.  So fun to catch up.  These ladies helped me grow up and I am thankful for their great examples in my life.  I am sad we didn't get a picture.  We drove around Antioch to see how everything has changed and we visited another wonderful family and then headed back to my sister's.  What a great day too!
One day we found an awesome park and had so much fun playing...my kids love swings!

Max's first time on a swing...

And first time on a slide...
 He loved it!
 Crazy auntie ha ha...

The one thing I don't miss about California...the traffic!
On our way home we decided to drive a little closer to home and stay the night with my favorite family the Jarvis'.  I grew up with this family and lived with them for awhile in Utah too.  I just love them all and it was so good to see them!  My kids loved swimming in their swimming pool and hot tub and they loved Cameron!

Finally made it back home to Utah and on my brother's last day we had to go to Porter's place for scones!  Memphis being silly...
Memphis lost another tooth.  Finally his top teeth are getting loose.
I have been so exhausted from being sick that one day Danny took the kids bowling so I could get some rest from our trip.  The kids had so much fun with daddy and auntie Nita!

Our ward had a carnival to raise money for yw/ym.  It was a lot of fun!
 Face painting...
 Picture with Princess Belle...
 And Iron Man...

We like to do crazy things with kayzee's hair in the bathtub ha ha...
Finally felt well enough to start working out again.
One weekend Danny and I went on a date.  We were just driving by Low Book and Danny saw a truck he really wanted.  I told him we shouldn't test drive it because every time we do we end up buying a new car.  The truck was previously owned by a car salesman at Low Book who sold us our van who also became Danny's golf buddy.  It was still in perfect condition with low miles and within our price range.  We don't have to pay for day care anymore so that money could just go toward this truck payment.  Danny's other two vehicles are really old and need a lot of work done on them but we decided to walk away that Saturday.  Monday after work Danny went back to see if it was still there and some guy was test driving it.  Luckily he couldn't afford it and we just decided to get it so at 9 o'clock that evening we bought a new truck!  Low Book must love us because this is the 4th car we have bought from them!  We went for a joy ride that night.  This is the nicest vehicle Danny has ever personally owned so he is so excited and he loves it.  He has definitely earned it.  He has worked so hard to overcome a lot of things in his life and I am so proud of him!
 Happy early birthday/father's day/anniversary present!

We all had a very Happy April!
