She celebrated her birthday with all her school friends. We went to Coconut Cove and rented a party room for a couple hours with pizza and cupcakes and presents and the girls has so much fun playing on the fun climbing equipment and slides.
I just love this girl of mine. This is a glimpse of our Crazy Kayzee which we like to call her. She definitely brings excitement into our lives.
Well, life finally slowed down!!! Whew! I told myself to only unpack the essentials so we could survive for awhile and the rest of the unpacking could wait until the weekends or vacations from school. Over labor day weekend everyone was posting about all the fun vacations they were going on and I was over here like...I unpacked a few more boxes ha ha! At least I decorated the front entry way so that if anyone came over it looked like I had some part of my life put together. Here is my fall decorations. Just don't look at the rest of my house. It's still a disaster.
I had a fun painful event that I totally forgot about until I was going through my pictures to post here. I guess it has healed perfectly I didn't even remember. My bestest friend Allison went shopping with me one weekend to find Kayzee a new bed. I gave the two twin beds we had to Memphis to make him a king bed and Kayzee has so many toys I decided to get her a higher loft bed so she could have play space under her bed. We found one and got it home and then me and Allison started putting it together. We were working on the biggest heaviest piece of the bed attaching it and it's above our heads and I dropped it on my big toe where it bends. It swelled up immediately and turned purple. Allison helped me get in bed and get ice on it. I was freaking out because I had to go work at my other job (the kids' clothing store). My boss was nice and let me sit in a chair at work and just tag clothes all night with my foot elevated with ice and one of my co workers came in and helped me close the store. The next day Allison brought her son over and they finished building the bed (they are amazing!). A couple days later I was still in so much pain I went in to the dr and they did an X-ray and I found out I fractured my big toe where it bends. Here is what it looked like for awhile. There isn't really much you can do for toes and the only thing I could comfortably wear was flip flops so teaching PE was a challenge. It took a couple weeks before I finally felt like I could walk normally and wear shoes. All healed now.
Memphis was my big helper the first week of my injury. He made me sit on the couch with ice on my toe and he would do anything for me. Love this sweet boy of mine.
And meet George, our what was I thinking 2nd pet! Memphis kept saying that Kayzee got a dog so he wanted a hamster to take care of. It has been so good for him. Welcome to the family George!
We love having the pool and hot tub right outside our front door. We went swimming everyday. Instead of unpacking. Oops. Oh well. We knew it wouldn't be summer for much longer. We love our new house and we have also been loving the gym in the clubhouse.
Yay for a less busy month!
