October was a fun month! My mom called a few months before and said she would fly us to Washington to surprise my dad for his 60th birthday. Well, it didn't end up being a surprise but we got to fly up there anyways and see my whole family. Everyone came it was so fun! And we got to miss 4 days of school. Yay for a break:) My kids have not flown on a plane since they were little babies in my lap so they were a little nervous but it was so much better than driving.
We actually arrived in Washington on my twin sister's birthday so we had a party! Happy Birthday Alicia and Annalyn...
Love these sisters of mine! So glad I got to celebrate with them this year. We all live so far away from each other it's nice when we can spend time together.
Two days later it was my big little brother's birthday.
Love this brother of mine too even if he never talks to me ha ha.
When we go to Washington we always have to eat at our favorite restaurant Maltby Cafe.
One of the days we were there we went to a family fun center. Lots of fun things to do.
We also went to a zoo that had an aquarium too. It was really neat.
One evening we decided to take family pictures since it's rare that we could all be together. We all tried to find similar outfits from our luggage. We took these with my phone in my parent's backyard with a timer. I think they turned out pretty good.

The kiddos...Memphis' shirt was so dirty so this is how they wanted to stand.

My parent's with their grandkids. Memphis was done at this point. We never got a good photo. Oh well, still cute.
LOVE THIS FAMILY OF MINE!
It was sad to say goodbye. Love these nephews of mine. Wish we lived closer.
We flew home on a tiny plane. Kids were excited until we hit turbulence a lot and didn't have an in flight movie. But we made it home safe.
I had an interesting night one night. I was driving to work and got a flat tire. Luckily I was right by a parking lot. I called work and said I wouldn't be able to make it in and I called my roadside assistance and they said they were sending a guy out to help me. I got a call from the guy and he started swearing at me calling me a worthless female. I got nervous about him showing up so I called my friend. She said she would get ready and come help me if needed. The guy showed up and started changing my tire to the spare. We made small talk and his demeanor completely changed. All of a sudden he was really nice to me. He finished and drove off but then I saw him turn around and come back to me. His daughter (who was in the car with him) came over to me and handed me his phone number and said I needed to go out with her dad. He yelled out the window that he was wrong when he talked to me on the phone and that he wanted to take me out to dinner. Then he drove off. I was in shock. What just happened? Who talks like that to someone and then asks them out? Him I guess? Not someone I want to be around. So I threw away his number, called my roadside assistance and reported him. Then I noticed that my spare was flat. Seriously?!?!?!?! I wasn't about to call roadside assistance again so I called my friend. She is seriously the best. She came and patched up my spare and helped me drive my car to the dealership where I got it. What a crazy night. At least I didn't have to go to work!
So I told the dealership that I had dropped off my car because of my tire problems. I also had a van that had so many problems. I had two cars so I always had a car as a backup but I was putting so much money into both vehicles and one time they both had problems at the same time and I was stranded anyways. The dealership had just fixed up my van (I put so much money into that thing it was frustrating) but I had had enough. I decided to go down to one vehicle and I wanted something newer so hopefully I wouldn't have car problems for awhile. The van was paid off so what they were able to give me for it plus the red car I was able to pay off the red car loan and get a nicer car. So excited to be down to one car payment and one car insurance. I got a VW Tiguan. Smaller SUV. Perfect for my little family. And it fits in my one car garage. Yay!
We had fall break and tried to squeeze in the fun. We played with friends, went to see two movies, slept in, I went out to eat every night with all my friends, and I got the boxes in my garage halfway unpacked so I could squeeze my new car in. No more scraping icy windows!
One evening we went on a hike with our favorite Auntie Nita. We went up Rock Canyon and enjoyed the cooler weather and the pretty mountains. After we went to Brick Oven Pizza for Dinner. Fun night!
Kayzee's face ha ha!
Halloween! This year Memphis wanted to be a character from a video game Fortnite.
Kayzee wanted to be a cute killer clown.
And I couldn't find my witch costume I usually wear so I was a mouse. Comfy at least!
Trick or Treat! My kids really wanted to go trick or treating in our old neighborhood and they had fun seeing everyone. They even went to our old house and the new owner was hoping they would stop by and gave them a bunch of huge candy bars! So nice of them. Auntie Nita was so nice to brave the freezing cold weather and walked around with my kids. I enjoyed sitting in my favorite old next door neighbor's house and catching up with her. Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
